BioEnergetic Meridian Assessment Body Scanning
What is body scanning?
Body scanning helps us look at the body as an energy field containing measureable electricity at specific locations on the body. Body scanning obtains electrical resistance measurements and the results are interpreted for therapeutic decision-making. This method is similar to the way an electrocardiogram (EKG) procedure obtains electricity measurements from the skin areas located over the chest area to determine the causes of heart symptoms.
The body scanning technique gives us a detailed picture of what is happening within the energetic fields of the body. Meridian lines have been used by the Chinese for thousands of years to determine blockages within the body, and now, using body scanning, these meridian blockage disturbances can be detected via a computer scan before they become physical ailments or diseases. Acupuncture meridians are the conduits of energy flow, forming a network of microscopic ducts that relay ‘chi’ or energy. For decades, science has proven meridians are connected to the nerves, blood vessels, and deeper organs within the body from the acupuncture points on the skin. With this technology, we are able to look at the energetic health of the organs, and the health of the various systems of the body: circulation, endocrine, joints, connective tissues, and lymphatic.
Who benefits from body scanning?
Anyone can benefit from body scanning, especially those who feel unwell but cannot define the cause. This includes people who are suffering from any of the following:
- Headaches and migraines
- Skin problems
- Digestive problems
- Joint pain
- Liver problems
- Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Crohn’s disease
- Asthma and respiratory problems
- Hormonal problems
- Cancer and immune system weakness
- Cholesterol or blood fats problems
- Immune system problems
- Sinus problems
- Weight loss problems
- GERD, reflux, and stomach acid issues
- Brain fog and memory problems
- Heart or circulation problems
- ADD or ADHD
- Sleep problems and interruptions or insomnia
- Chronic pain or Fibromyalgia
- Kidney or bladder problems
- Diabetes or blood sugar problems
- Environmental sensitivities
- Auto-Immune conditions
- Menstrual Cycle, PMS, and rage symptoms
- Lyme’s Disease
- Chronic viral or bacterial infections
- Thyroid or adrenal problems
There can be many conditions our bodies may suffer from, such as:
- Nutritional deficiencies
- Environmental pollutants
- Physical and mental exhaustion
- Micro-biological contamination
- Side-effects of prescribed or over-the-counter drugs that have either been taken directly, found in food or in the water supply given to the animals, found in meat, milk products, tap water, etc..
- And more
The list of what our bodies suffer through goes on and on. Government safety limits, which are meant to control the rates of our exposure to pollutants, do not take into account the different effects of toxic substances on each person.
Susceptibility to disease brought on by these stresses is partly dependent on the strength of the each body’s defense mechanisms. However, there is no single approach to dealing with a particular ‘condition’. Two different people can have the same heart disease, or gastrointestinal problems, due to different factors. It's finding the root cause of these problems that hastens the return to well-being. Body scanning helps determine the underlying problems.
With body scanning, it is possible to detect deficiencies in the vitamins and minerals that have been absorbed by our bodies and how well the hormones are working. The beauty of the system is that we are able to determine the herbal, nutritional, homeopathic, and dietary needs of each person, and therefore help the body to effectively repair and heal itself.
What is involved?
When a person has a body scan, a blunt probe is applied to the skin at the acupuncture points on the hands and feet. The computer sends a subsensory electrical impulse through the skin and all you feel is the sensation of the probe touching your body. Specific acupuncture points on your skin will be evaluated for their resistance to the electrical impulse, and the resistance amount is recorded on the computer. These readings are then analyzed for priority of whether organ systems are indicating inflammation or degeneration patterns. Your physician will then decide what are the appropriate intervention steps necessary to improve your health.
