Vitamin D, as contained in Cataplex D, is recognized as fundamental to the development and control of important cells in the immune system, including lymphocytes1 and macrophages.2, 3 Vitamin D acts on immune cells, affecting the production of a variety of chemical messengers.4 Adequate levels of vitamin D help to maintain the integrity of the immune system.5, 6, 7, 8*
How does this product support healthy bones?
Cataplex D provides vitamin D, which helps control blood levels of calcium and phosphate, which are raw materials used by bone-forming cells to produce woven bone for growth and normal repair.9 Vitamin D maintains calcium and phosphate levels to ensure correct mineralization of bones and plays a crucial role in development and maintenance of a healthy skeleton.10, 11 Vitamin D also plays a role in calcium absorption.12 The absorption of calcium in the intestine is regulated by vitamin D,13 and vitamin D deficiency causes reduced calcium absorption in the gut.14 Vitamin D requires several other nutrients for assimilation, including calcium and vitamin A. The human body contains more calcium than any other mineral. Approximately 99 percent of that calcium is used in the bones and teeth.15*

Vitamin A, as contained in Cataplex D, regulates numerous cellular processes.
